Sara Cushing

I grew up loving dogs and watching dog shows on TV. I always dreamed of having my very own dog to show. In 2006, I got my first Standard Poodle, Moxie. I showed her once in conformation, a few years in junior showmanship, but mainly did agility, obedience, and rally. We qualified for Agility Nationals in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and attended in 2014. She ended her career with 3MACHs, 2PACHs, CDX, and RE. My second Standard Poodle, Kiwi, also competed in agility, obedience, and rally. She ended her career with 3MACHs, PACH, CDX, and RN. 

Currently, I compete in agility, but also train obedience, rally, and am starting flyball with my Whippet, Darby, and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Tigger. 

I started as an instructor in 2010. As an instructor, I love seeing my students build confidence in their skills, and grow as a team! I love challenging the handlers to pull the drive and precision out of their dogs. I very much believe in rewarding the dogs, and making sure they have a safe and fun time!
