Puppy Kindergarten:
Emphasis
is on socialization with people and other
puppies, along with introduction to obedience
work. Discussions and information on
growth, nutrition, grooming, and problem
solving.
Recommended

favorite toy.

Puppy Dynamics:
Designed
to develop teamwork between dog and handler.
This class will review obedience skills learned
in Puppy Kindergarten class but will mainly
focus on teaching teamwork and confidence
building through obstacle performance.
Obstacles are designed for puppies; safety will
be our first priority!

4 mos. – 8 mos.

Beginners Obedience:
A basic
training course for dogs that have had some
prior obedience. Emphasis is placed on
basic training needed for a good companion.
This class will focus on introducing basic
obedience as well as educating owners about
socializing & problem issues. Information
will be offered on continued training, training
aids, and some problem solving.

age: 6
mos. and older.

Advanced Beginners:
This class
will reinforce and build upon skills developed
in Beginners Obedience. You will continue
work on heeling, coming when called, stays in a
sit and down position and stand for examination.
Emphasis will be placed on developing &
formalizing obedience skills for better home
control or to begin training for competitive
obedience.
Information will
be offered on continued training, training aids,
and some problem solving.
Recommended
age: 8
mos. and older.

Novice:
This course is
focused on preparation for entering obedience
trials with the goal of achieving the Companion
Dog (CD) Title |
Rally Obedience:
Rally is AKC titling canine sport that
consists of a sequence of stations, run as a
heelwork course by a handler and dog, where a
sign at each station indicates an obedience
exercise that the team must perform. Dogs
should understand the sit, the down, and coming
when called before enrolling in this class.
Rally can be a good team building class for you
and your dog. Please check current
schedule for availability.
Open/Utility
Obedience:
Offers
additional competitive training for those
interested in attaining the Companion Dog
Excellent (CDX ) or Utility Dog (UD) obedience
title. Drop-in's are allowed with instructor
approval.

Obedience
for Agility:
This is a
new class designed to prepare those on the
waiting list for agility to begin flatwork to
train their dogs for the agility fou ndation
class. Skills taught will include right
turns, left turns, recalls, start stays, 270°
and 180° turns, working on the right side of the
handler.

Conformation:
This
class is designed to prepare dogs and
owners/handlers for showing in conformation.
Participants will be instructed regarding the
best possible presentation of their dog,
including proper stacking and gaiting
techniques. Please check current class schedule
as this class not offered at every session. No
pre-registration required. Drop in fees apply. |
